Rowan & Hunter
I have had a love for taking pictures my entire life. I've loved photographing my 2 dogs but my true love for taking pictures started the day my son was born. As Rowan grows, his bond with our dogs grow. Being a dog mom first, this is everything I've ever dreamed of. All dog parents want their children and dogs to love each other. It truly is a dream come true. Our dogs are older and it’s true when people say we don’t deserve dogs. Hunter is our 8-year-old Labrador Retriever that we adopted 7 years ago. He recently just won his battle with cancer and we could not be more thrilled with this news. Rowan and Hunter have a special bond. It might be because Rowan always feeds him. Hunter is patient, playful, and a chill dog. He is not your typical high-strung Lab. While I patiently waited for my Canon 6D to be delivered, I was playing around with a rebel. This was the first time I’ve ever touched a camera like this and these were my first 3 photos that I got. I don’t care if these photos showed that I had zero skills behind the camera, they are so special to me. This is the reason I love taking pictures. These photos will stay with me for my lifetime. I will look back at these pictures when Rowan is 10, 20, or 30 and show him how much he loved his best friend, Hunter. If dogs only could live for our entire time on earth. Rowan just turned 1 in August and he is so sweet and compassionate with his pups. He loves to hug them, kiss them, and give them gentle pets. I’m a blessed momma.
